DeepSeek has updated its pricing page, introducing new rates per 1 million tokens for its models. The company also deprecated the model names deepseek-chat and deepseek-reasoner, effective July 24, 2026, at 15:59 UTC.
Under the new structure, deepseek-chat now corresponds to the non-thinking mode of deepseek-v4-flash, while deepseek-reasoner maps to its thinking mode. Users are advised to update their integrations accordingly.
Pricing is calculated per token, with fees deducted from the user's balance—granted balance is used first before topped-up balance. DeepSeek notes that prices may change and recommends checking the page regularly for updates.
